So – “Jynx” was also introduced to water. Like “Koal” she hasn’t had as much halter/leading work. She did a lot of backing up that doesn’t show in these pics, LOL. I did use a butt rope for some of her work, but for the most part a quick pull and she responded by stepping forward, so not too bad at all. I led her into the pond.
Here’s a pic before pond work –
A little unsure still as she checks out the water.
Sending her out on her own around me – in the pond. She’s starting to relax.
and to splash on her own.
I worked with her a bit close up, too. Here’s one of those pics.
After “Jynx”s water worx, she was quite the shivery filly as the sun started going down. So we did walk-a-bouts that included other obstacle work. Will have to do pics another time, as neither Sierra nor I got pics. She crawled/jumped over the black barrel (after touching it with her muzzle), stood (eventually) to be rubbed with a feed sack along the back of the boy’s paddock where it had gotten away, crossed over it – sometimes jumping; then along the Jr mares paddock, we did into and out of tire work.
